OKC / Norman Things to Do

 Norman

- Main Street is a fun area to explore on foot. There are lots of cute shops, restaurants, and an antique mall too! Keep an eye out for the monthly Norman Artwalk with vendors and live music.

- OU Campus. Sometimes it's nice to just walk around the beautiful campus!

- OU Football. If you're into that sort of thing, you can join the madness around campus each fall.

- Fred Jones Museum of Art. This museum on OU campus is free and has some really great shows!

- NCED. One of only two Postal Training Centers in the US, this place is the hidden gem of Norman. For a very reasonable monthly fee, you can become a member and use the facilities such as the gym, outdoor pool, hot tubs, jacuzzis, basketball courts, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor running tracks. (Btw it's walking distance from our Norman property!)

Oklahoma City

- Explore all the artsy trending districts here!

- Myriad Gardens. The newly designed glass garden has all sorts of cool plants and a waterfall! The grounds are free to explore and very peaceful also.

- Bombing Memorial. Unfortunately since this is the most famous thing about OKC it's good to remember and learn at the museum and site. The area is now a serene, if sobering, park.

- Oklahoma Contemporary. A free art museum!

- Oklahoma City Museum of Art. Our modern art museum in the heart of Downtown.

- Lifetime Fitness. The boujee-est gym/lifestyle zone on planet earth. Very expensive, but it's its own ecosystem with restaurants, pools indoor and out, fitness classes, and basically every fancy thing you can imagine. It's a destination, not a gym!

- Louie's on the Lake. This affordable restaurant is our fave because you can sit outside and enjoy gorgeous Lake Hefner. Also, just Lake Hefner! It's so pretty and soothing. You can walk/bike all the way around the lake!

- Thrift shopping. If you're into thrifting or antiquing, we have some of the best places in the country.

- Plaza Walls Street Art. This alley is full of art from amazing talent across the US. The murals change yearly!

- River Sports. The area around the OKC river has whitewater rafting, kayaking, and other adventurous stuff.

- First Americans Museum. An expansive new museum dedicated to Native American culture.
